- Wave Rock is the north face of Hyden Rock, just east of Hyden in the Shire of Kondinin, about 340 km east of Perth by road via the Brookton Highway (Shire of Kondinin).
- About 15 m high and about 110 m long; granite about 2.7 billion years old (Shire of Kondinin; Wikipedia gives 110 m and 2.63 billion years for the monzogranite).
- The wave is a flared slope formed by chemical weathering at the base of the rock below the old land surface, later exposed by erosion.
- Ballardong Noongar name: Katter Kich. The rock is on the Aboriginal Heritage Sites Register as Wave Rock and Environs (1995).
- A low stone wall above the wave, built in December 1928 by the Public Works Department and renovated in 1951, channels rainwater into a dam.
